Post subject:  2001 Polaris Blue V6 Free to a good home!

I am a long-standing member of this forum who has sadly let his Coupe slip out of use. Consequently, I would like someone who can make use of the car from this forum have it for free (subject to it being collected from Denby Dale in West Yorkshire), rather than it going to the Coupe graveyard.

The car is a 3 owner (mine since November 2008) 2001 (51) Polaris Blue V6 Coupe with black leather, on 91K miles which has sadly been SORN since December 2021 and sat on my drive ever since. The engine runs fine (just tried her after many months and she started first turn of the key despite the age of the fuel), in fact it had six new Valeo pencil coils and plugs fitted just before the last MOT due to a misfire and has barely moved since. Unfortunately, the tyres are starting to perish and the brake discs are heavily corroded now. The passenger door card is off as the window regulator was playing up (the main reason it stopped being used) but otherwise no known problems. It has a partial stainless-steel exhaust, and rear de-cat (original cat is still in my possession) fitted by Tony Banks in 2017 and sits on 7 spoke Hoggar alloys which are in good nick having been refurbed in my ownership. There is a small supermarket trolley dent in the driver's door and a small crease in the bonnet both of which I think could be worked out by a skilled dent magician. It also has numerous stone chips though non seem to have corroded. The front bumper has the inevitable cracks from low-speed car park bumps (by others!) and road rash from stones but otherwise I don't think there is anything which can't be readily put right to get her back on the road.

I have posted this to see if there is any interest. I can supply more details and photos/videos if there is. Reply here or PM me. Nothing would make me happier than to see her go to someone who has a genuine interest in the 406 Coupe.
