I'll leave the ad here for fun but the HDi is no longer for sale. They are worth nothing and this one will be perfectly fine for a few years without much attention so I've decided to use it as my winter car so I can keep Peggy nice.

I hadn't planned to sell the HDi. It's only going because a lovely V6 manual showed up. I've owned the HDi for about 7 years and it has been reliable and economical. Can't see any reason why it won't last another 7 years at least. Just back from a 900 mile round trip to Scotland where it averaged 60mpg. The half tank of fuel that comes with the car was bought in Dundee.

Good bits: Nice refurbished wheels, lots of new or nearly new bits - front tyres, drop links, aux belt new this year. New brakes all round in 2021, exhaust 2022, ABS rings 2021. Regularly serviced (but no formal service history). A performance particulate filter (you might know it as a de-fap and 180 map). All emissions gear visually standard on the outside and fine for MOT testing.

Bad bits: Mostly cosmetic - left front wing ideally needs painting, small crack in end of front bumper, and bonnet has a small dent at the front. Headlights need polishing - I think they have been sprayed with lacquer which has yellowed). Otherwise presentable. Cam belt is due (Gates kit supplied with car) and rear brakes need doing again (parts with car). Aux belt tensioner pulley needs replacing soon.

My insurance runs out on 23rd September which limits timing for rides. Location east of Bedford near A1. It's on eBay now and you can see bigger photos there.

Now I'm wondering whether to keep it as a winter car. Probably ought to have thought about that before advertising it.
